Most contour fashion designers (AKA lingerie designers), spend years studying this intricate art. From the selection of the materials to the final touches, these skilled artisans work diligently to create stunning pieces that are all-together beautiful, supportive and functional.
The Labor
Designing lingerie requires the utmost attention to detail. A single bra can consist of 30 to 100 individual components (In comparison, an average t-shirt has 4 components).
The majority of all lingerie is actually hand-made, ensuring that every stitch is carefully crafted. This is an extremely intricate process, because if the stitching is off by as little as 1 inch, that bra would be completely unwearable.
